New Testament and Mythology
This is an important book for understanding the history of biblical interpretation in the twentieth century. Bultmann misunderstands the nature of mythology and attempts to find the existential meaning of the Gospel by removing all descriptions of the supernatural. Still, it is an interesting reflection on the nature of myth, history and truth.

Did the Greeks Believe in Their Myths?
This book examines the question of the Greeks' faith in their own mythology. While some completely accepted them, there were many that were questioning and were abandoning everything supernatural. A good resource for understanding ancient ideas of mythology and history.

Theology of John's Gospel and Letters
This was a very good and comprehensive introduction to the theology of the Johaninne literature. The author covers all the topics and interacts with the scholarship of today and of previous generations. Readable for the interested layperson and still useful for the scholar.

Galatians
This is one of the best commentaries on Galatians by a very knowledgeable New Testament scholar. Richard Longenecker brings about his significant knowledge of rabbinic traditions to bear on the ancient Galatian situation.
