This is an attempt to place modern Christianity in its religious context, looking at how the basic beliefs help explain why some have labelled America a Christian Nation. From a very liberal perspective.
Imagining Religion
This is an interesting study of comparative religion, looking specifically at social theory.
Beginner's French
This is a good beginner's book to teach the basics of French. Designed with the tourist in mind, it is still helpful for those with little or no background in French.

This book looks at Luke as a storyteller, interpreter and evangelist. A very good examination of Luke-Acts in its Greco-Roman, Jewish and Christian context.
